About Us

On September 19, 2015 several women of the Mississippi Gulf Coast met to discuss forming a group of civically engaged women from the three coastal counties with proven leadership and results to actively engage in programs and service that would bring transformational change to our communities. We agreed to work together to utilize our talents and skills to provide targeted service in the areas of Education, the Arts, Health, and the Youth. Over the last two years we have assessed our community needs, explored opportunities for collaborative efforts, implemented projects, and planned programming with measured results, tangible outcomes, and the capacity for sustainability. Our works, commitment to sustainable programs, and member quality have allowed chapter status with the illustrious Links, Incorporated International Organization.
The Gulf Coast (MS) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated was chartered on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Beau Rivage Casino and Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi. Thirty-three civically engaged women dedicated to community enhancement and sustainable change were duly inducted and charged with fulfilling the mission of The Links, Incorporated, to enrich, sustain, and ensure the identities, culture and economic survival of all people of African origin through cultural, educational and civic programs. Our service area includes Hancock, Harrison, and Jackson counties which comprise the coastal area of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
